Styling Outfits with Prints and Patterns

Notice any similarities between this outfit and the outfit featured in our last post, Weekend Wear: Formal to Fun in a Flash?

All I did was swap out my floral print skirt with cute palm shorts (outfit details below). Everything else is the same! Black tank, jean vest and wedge sandals.

Don’t be afraid to wear patterns ladies (and gents!). If you’re a beginner, here are a few simple tips to remember.

Keep the focus on one item of clothing that has a pattern/print
Pair with solid colors
Wear items with similar hues (for example, I chose blues and blacks, but could have easily worn a white tank also)

Festivals and short shorts

While we may not be at Coachella this year, we’re still celebrating festival season. Who says that you have to wear daisy duke jeans and floral tops?!

We like standing out a little and these fun striped short shorts paired with a simple black tank and blue blouse do the trick. Throw on a vintage fedora along with a few metallic shades and sandals and you’re ready for good music and napping on the cool grass.
